Tierra Linda PTA supports our school through volunteer support, monetary donations, physical donations, and more. Our goal is to serve the families, teachers, and staff at Tierra Linda and most of all, advocate for the kids!

Our Structure:
Association Meetings are held 5 times a year to approve purchases and plans, vote on positions and policies. All members and community members are invited to attend!
Executive Board Meetings are held monthly to conduct business between and prepare for association meetings. Elected officers, appointed officers, the principal, and a teacher rep are in attendance, as well as other guests invited by the president (committee chairs, etc.)
Committee Meetings are held throughout the year to support different programs and provide recommendations to the board.
Plans and ideas generally start at the committee level, then go to the executive board, and finally, the association. For example:
Assemblies committee meets after our fall fundraiser. They review last year's assemblies, any new/different ideas, and our available budget. Together, they decide on 4 desired assemblies for the school year.
At the monthly executive board meeting, the board reviews their recommendation. They check the budget/financial reports, review necessary paperwork, and ensure the principal's approval.
At the next association meeting, the assemblies plans and associated costs are presented. The membership reviews this information and approves the purchases.
Before the event, day-of volunteer sign-ups go out in the hawk flyer and teacher newsletters.
